We partnered with Relias' product leadership to define and create a collection of predefined, reusable design elements and guidelines that help ensure consistency and coherence in product design and across all brand touchpoints. This alleviates varying codebases from the burden of inconsistencies, bringing a clearer focus towards reusability to allocate resources effectively in meeting customer needs. The design system has several characteristics, especially tailored to their clientele. Healthcare workers are busy, on-the-move, and demand clarity in the interfaces they interact with daily. Accessibility, scalability, and practicality were the core principles driving the work we did for Relias. It's a pleasure working with products that actually make a difference in people's lives.
There's a big difference between James Bond being the bomb at the box office, and a bomb. That's why machines need human intelligence to train them. From detecting sarcasm in hate speech to understanding medical terminology in hospital transcripts.
For example, Delta means different things depending on who and when you asked. Language is nuanced, fluid and contextual. It’s in perpetual motion. And companies need great data to create their AI models.
Normally when companies set out to collect this data, they turn to offshore workforces using translation tools. But cultural nuances, context or irony can’t simply be translated.
Surge AI has built the next-gen labeling infrastructure. With it, best AI and technology companies in the world double their machine learning performance in half the time.
We’ve been involved since a pretty early stage collaborating closely as an integrated part of their team. We took ownership of the entire design spectrum, all the way from creating their very first visual identity to designing the software. We continue working closely with them.

Did you know that every drug we take undergoes extensive clinical trials? These trials can last between 7 to 12 years and require over a billion dollars to transition from discovery to market. The process begins with cutting-edge technology and the latest scientific advancements working tirelessly to achieve new breakthroughs.
However, by the time it reaches the research phase, where patient data is captured, it is often done using outdated methods. Nurses still record data on paper, which increases the likelihood of errors. That's where Clinical Ink comes in. They provide software solutions for nurses to accurately input data using electronic devices, minimizing errors and streamlining the process.
The original version of their product propelled the company to success, but as technology evolved, so did their need to adapt. That's where we stepped in. We helped Clinical Ink evolve their product to keep pace with technological advancements, ensuring they continue to revolutionize the way clinical trials are conducted.
The story of Vectornator starts in the room of a 10-year-old child in 2010. Vladimir, born in Romania and raised in Germany, encountered a problem that many designers have experienced before. He was struggling to find a suitable design tool for his illustrations. Most kids would probably have given up soon, turn to TV & loose interest.
But Vladimir was not most kids. He decided to create his own solution to solve his own problem. With the help of Youtube tutorials and several forum posts, he began to write his first lines of code.
What started out as a hobby turned into a product that is loved by millions of graphic designers but also has the support of prominent industry leaders, such as Disney, Marvel, BBC and Apple.
We got involved when they found themselves having a rather good problem. They had a GREAT product with a bunch of loyal recurring users; but their website did not match the product experience and fell short when conveying the excitement & buzz that existed among its community. So they needed a team to help them turn their vision into a reality (That’s us!), which was both an honor and a challenge. Now we had to figure out the following:
- How do you create a world-class website for a world-class product? specially one aimed at designers?
- How do you tread the fine line of designing “too much” and leveraging all the artwork we have without sacrificing usability & performance?
- How do we create a scalable system that their team can then work with?
We turned to Webflow for the development and out-of-the-box performance. We successfully planned, designed, developed and delivered a performing website and a robust design system to scale on (in style). What was originally a one-off engagement turned into us becoming an integrated component of their team, where we work elbow-to-elbow to continuously improve the experience of millions of creators.
